ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) in Self-Watering Pot

ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) – Ultra Low-Maintenance Indoor Plant

Meet the ultimate "un-killable" houseplant. The ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is celebrated by plant parents worldwide for its striking, glossy emerald-green foliage and virtually indestructible nature. Whether you are a seasoned plant collector or a self-proclaimed "black thumb," this resilient beauty is designed to thrive on neglect.

With its upright, structural stems and waxy, light-reflecting leaves, the ZZ Plant adds an instant touch of modern elegance to any room. It is the perfect statement piece for your living room, office desk, or that forgotten, low-light corner.

Why You’ll Love It

• Thrives on Neglect: Forgot to water it? No problem. The ZZ Plant stores water in its potato-like rhizomes, making it incredibly drought-tolerant.

• Low-Light Champion: While it prefers bright, indirect light, it will happily adapt to low-light conditions and fluorescent office lighting.

• Air-Purifying Qualities: Beyond its good looks, it actively filters indoor air toxins, keeping your living space fresh and clean.

• Perfect for Beginners: Resilient against pests and highly forgiving of irregular care routines.

Plant Care Made Simple

• Light: Low to bright, indirect sunlight. Keep out of harsh, direct sun to avoid leaf scorch.

• Water: Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between watering (typically every 2–3 weeks depending on your space). When in doubt, leave it dry!

• Soil: Well-draining potting mix.

• Pet Friendly? No, ZZ Plants are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of curious cats and dogs.
